East Kentucky Crappie Trail hosted its first event at Jenny Wiley State Park

On March 30th 2019 The East Kentucky Crappie Trail hosted its first event on Dewey Lake. Total of 14 boats entered the tournament, as well as 3 youth. The bite was on, most all boats had full bags of fish.

The winning bag went to Ricky Newsome and Reese Spurlock with a 7 fish bag of 4.13, Second Place went to Ryan Newsome and James Boyd with a total weight of 3.58. Third Place and big fish went to Glen Preece and Benny Fitch with 3.52 and a big fish of 1lb exactly. They were multiple 3lb bags brought to the scales with very little separation between the teams.

The youth division had 3 competitors, Coby Blackburn, Madison Adkins, and Kyle King. All three weighed fish making it a very close weigh in. But in the end it was Madison Adkins that took home the W. Great prizes were also distributed from the sponsors of the event.

Local sponsor Anglers Bait-N-Tackle donated 100 gift card, Jiffy Jigs also donated a 100 dollar gift card. MCM Tackle and Slab Lures donated jig kits.
