Best Homemade Biscuits and Gravy

I have the best homemade biscuits and gravy recipe that will surely satisfy your taste buds. This recipe is easy to follow and requires only a few ingredients.

Ingredients for Biscuits:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup of milk

Instructions for Biscuits:
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the dry mixture.
4. Use a pastry cutter or your hands to mix the butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.
5. Add the milk and stir until just combined.
6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it gently until it comes together.
7. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter or glass.
8. Place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

Instructions for Gravy:
1. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled.
2. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir until well combined.
3. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
4. Cook the gravy over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
