How to Make Pine Tar Salve

Pine tar salve is a natural remedy that has been used for centuries to treat various skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and insect bites. Pine tar is a sticky substance that is derived from the wood of pine trees. It has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that make it an effective treatment for skin irritations.

To make pine tar salve without coconut oil, you will need the following ingredients:

- 1/2 cup of pine tar
- 1/2 cup of olive oil
- 1/4 cup of beeswax
- 10-15 drops of essential oil (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a double boiler, melt the pine tar, olive oil, and beeswax together.
2. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in essential oil (if using).
3. Pour the mixture into a jar or tin and let it cool completely before use.

To use pine tar salve, apply a small amount to the affected area and massage gently into the skin. Repeat as needed.
